You have experienced the highs of success and the lows of starting over. Take us through monumental times during your career.
Monumental moments in my career began on April 26, 2006, when I officially registered my first company, Luxury World Key Concierge. That date remains etched in my memory as the beginning of my entrepreneurial journey.
One of my proudest achievements came just two years later, when I earned my first million dollars. But success can sometimes lead to unprepared decisions, and within six months, I faced my first bankruptcy. It was a humbling experience that taught me invaluable lessons about financial management and resilience.
During this challenging time, I also encountered personal setbacks, including being jailed for not being able to pay a car loan. I had purchased a Lexus GX 460 on credit, believing that life was wonderful and money would always flow. Unfortunately, I underestimated the financial responsibility that came with such a decision.
However, there were moments of triumph as well. The day I paid off all my debts, recovered my assets, and even bought property in Dubai marked a significant turning point. I had rebuilt what I had lost and emerged stronger.
Then came the COVID-19 pandemic, another period of upheaval that tested not only my business acumen but also my adaptability. Reflecting on my 20 years of experience in Dubai—from starting as a lifeguard at Wild Wadi Water Park to building a company with $250 million in revenue—I am reminded that every high and low has shaped the person I am today. I know there are still more lessons ahead, and I welcome them with open arms.
Innovation is at the forefront of your mind. Tell us about your initiatives.
Innovation is not just the forefront of my company—it is the forefront of my personal philosophy. I believe in constant growth and development, which is why we are always exploring and onboarding new technologies. To ensure this mindset is embedded in our operations, we have developed a dedicated tech team and structured our initiatives under a pillar called Next Gen Technologies.
This pillar reflects my belief that every year, every moment, there is something new to adopt, and we strive to stay ahead of the curve. Whether it’s advancements in Web3, artificial intelligence, or other cutting-edge fields, we are not just participants; we are active contributors. We onboard companies within these sectors and also develop proprietary technologies to optimize processes and integrate innovation into service-based businesses.
One of our most exciting projects is CAI: The Concierge AI, where we are leveraging the latest AI advancements within our lifestyle management services. This initiative demonstrates how we are combining existing AI technologies with our expertise to create transformative solutions.
Innovation truly defines my approach to business and life, and it continues to drive everything we do.
Who has inspired you the most?
Two individuals stand out as my greatest inspirations, especially at the beginning of my journey. The first is my father. His story is one of resilience and determination—he built his career in the police force from scratch, without the advantage of a university degree. Despite this, he rose to the top of his field through sheer hard work and discipline. He instilled those same values in me, emphasizing the importance of integrity, dedication, and keeping one’s word no matter the cost. His lessons in discipline and sportsmanship were the foundation of my character.
The second pivotal inspiration was Les Brown, the renowned motivational speaker. I first heard him speak when I was just 12 or 13 years old, and his words resonated deeply with me—particularly his famous phrase, “It’s not over until I win.” From that moment on, I watched his speeches daily, drawing energy and motivation from his powerful stage presence.
Years later, I had the privilege of co-organizing an event here in Dubai where Les Brown himself was a featured speaker. That experience was surreal and reinforced my belief in the power of the law of attraction. Both my father and Les Brown have shaped my mindset and inspired me to push beyond my limits.
Tell us about Enlightened Minds Investments and World Key Concierge.
Before I explain Enlightened Minds Investments, let me start with my first business, Luxury Wealthy Concierge (LWK Concierge), founded on April 26, 2006. LWK Concierge began as a high-end service provider catering to the unique needs of high-net-worth individuals. Over the past 19 years, it has evolved significantly, transforming into what we now call World Key Concierge.
World Key Concierge offers more than just assistance; it has become an ecosystem of excellence. In addition to providing world-class concierge services, we established an academy dedicated to training personal assistants, executive assistants, and hospitality professionals. This academy empowers individuals with the skills needed to thrive in these roles, contributing to the broader mission of knowledge sharing and skill development.
World Key Concierge holds a vital role within the Enlightened Minds ecosystem. It acts as the entry point for building relationships, generating leads, and connecting with investors and entrepreneurs. For us, World Key Concierge is not just a service—it is the sales and after-sales engine that fuels other ventures under the Enlightened Minds umbrella.
Enlightened Minds, in contrast, is an investment ecosystem designed to help businesses grow within the Middle East. It operates on a unique model of synergistic growth, where one company supports another within a cohesive network. My secret to success lies in resilience. I believe it’s not about whether you experience failure—we all do—but how you respond to it. It’s natural to feel upset, emotional, or even defeated when things don’t go as planned. However, the key is minimizing the amount of time you spend in that state. By quickly shifting focus from the setback to the next steps forward, I’ve been able to stay on track and keep pushing ahead.
One of the proudest moments in my career came when I received a call from the Lifestyle Department of the Prime Minister’s Office, inviting me for a meeting to discuss potential projects. It was a moment of validation and recognition—a realization that my work had reached a level where I was being noticed and trusted at the highest levels. That experience remains one of the most mesmerizing highlights of my journey.
How important is mentorship?
Mentorship is incredibly important and plays a pivotal role in the Enlightened Minds ecosystem. Within our infrastructure, we refer to mentors as advisers and have established a remarkable advisory board comprised of influential and high-value individuals from various industries across the Middle East. This advisory board not only supports our entrepreneurs but also reflects the importance of guidance in achieving success.
Personally, I believe that if I had access to a mentor early on in my career, I would have achieved success much earlier. This realization drives my commitment to providing mentorship opportunities to others. At Enlightened Minds, we go beyond offering access to our advisory board by investing in programs that support youth development.
We collaborate with Brooks Education Group to create initiatives that empower young minds, working with the Ministry of Education to develop programs for private schools. These programs are designed to inspire students in grades 9 through 12, encouraging them to embark on entrepreneurial journeys, develop projects, and launch startups. Additionally, we leverage our extensive network of investors to provide financial and strategic support for these budding entrepreneurs.
By fostering a culture of mentorship, we aim to not only guide current entrepreneurs but also nurture the next generation of leaders and innovators.
What is your vision for 2025?
My vision for 2025 is to build a $1 billion company. I aim for Enlightened Minds to accumulate and support companies under its umbrella, collectively achieving $1 billion in revenue. This ambitious goal drives our strategy, ensuring every step we take aligns with creating a thriving ecosystem of businesses that generate substantial impact and value.
