Tell us about what led you to launch Sunshine de lites?
Hi, I’m Sabrina Johnson, Founder & CEO—the heart behind Sunshine de lites! My journey began with a personal struggle—sensitive skin and endless frustration with products that just didn’t work. After trying everything, visiting dermatologists, and still finding no real answers, I decided to take matters into my own hands. If I couldn’t find a solution, I’d create one myself!
My light bulb moment came when I realized just how many hidden chemicals were lurking in conventional skincare. That eye-opening discovery fueled my passion for creating products that are pure, natural, and free from all the harsh stuff. Thus, Sunshine de lites was born—a brand dedicated to handcrafted skincare made with nourishing ingredients you can trust!

Share the challenges when building your company.
Building Sunshine de lites wasn’t easy. I had no website, no capital, and was juggling two jobs while dealing with supply shortages and launching new ideas that didn’t always take off. But through it all, I leaned on faith, determination, and perseverance. Step by step, I trusted God to guide my path (Philippians 4:13), stayed committed to my vision, and focused on building a solid foundation—one small success at a time. To spread the word, I started mailing and handing out samples everywhere I went. Every challenge I faced helped shape Sunshine de lites into the faith-driven, purpose-filled brand it is today.
Which skincare products do you use from Sunshine de lites?
Oh, I use quite a few! My go-to is the Sole de lite Foot Repair Salve—it keeps my feet soft and smooth. I also love the Turmeric & Tea Tree Soap for that deep clean and glow, and the Clove de lite Soap because it smells amazing and leaves my skin feeling refreshed. The Charcoal & Tea Tree Soap is great for helping with discoloration over time, giving my skin a clearer, more even tone. The Calendula Soap is perfect for dry skin and is excellent for conditions like eczema. I also use the Luxury Body Oil to keep my skin hydrated and radiant, the Hair and Body Butters for added moisture and softness, and the Nail and Cuticle Oil to keep my nails strong and healthy. Basically, I use my own products because I know exactly what’s in them—pure, natural goodness!

It is so hard to write just one review because I’ve been using Sunshine de lites for years, and I’m still not sure which one is my favorite. I’ve used all of them. The texture of the cream is just amazing. Most shea butters are hard and even harder to rub in completely, but all of these butters are soft and creamy, and that’s not even including the SMELL! I’m in love with the smell of all of them. I chose to comment on the Lemon in My Grass Butter because it’s my fiancé’s favorite scent. Every time I put it on, he compliments how good I smell… Every. Our Men’s Collection includes the Swagg Luxury Body Oil, Chemistry Luxury Body Oil, and Hair and Body Butters for men as well. These products are all about offering men a simple yet luxurious self-care experience. Whether it’s the nourishing body oils or the deeply moisturizing hair and body butters, everything is designed to hydrate and keep the skin feeling soft and smooth. Curtis and I wanted to create a collection that brings a little bit of luxury to everyday routines while making sure that men feel their best too.

What’s next for you?
I’m excited about what’s ahead! In 2025, I plan to expand Sunshine de lites, introduce new, innovative products to our customers, grow our team, and expand our territory. There are some exciting ideas in the pipeline, and I can’t wait to share them. I’m also eager to collaborate with other brands who share a passion for high-quality, natural skincare. One of my main goals is to engage with the athletic community through our Sole de lite Foot Repair Salve—the “Magic Eraser for Your Feet.” Overall, my vision for 2025 is to continue growing Sunshine de lites, giving back to the community through product donations and volunteering, and remaining committed to offering products that are kind to the skin. There’s so much more to come!
